The time spent at Walnut Canyon Cabins felt magical! The Milky Way Cabin's rooftop deck offered breathtaking sunsets. Sitting outside, I fed deer right from the porch, creating unforgettable moments. The cozy interiors were adorned with beautiful artwork from a local artist, which made the cabin feel personal and unique. Carl and Rhonda, the hosts, were incredibly kind. They made sure our reservation was secure, even helping troubleshoot a payment issue. The area was wonderfully secluded, perfect for a romantic getaway but still close to Fredericksburg for dining and wine tasting. One downside was the lack of internet service, which didn't bother me too much since it encouraged us to disconnect. However, some might find this inconvenient. The hot tub took longer to warm up than expected, but once it was ready, it was perfect under the stars. Overall, a fantastic place to relax and recharge!

The cabins are very homey, with each having stunning
views of the canyon and comfortable seating to enjoy sunsets. Our stay was remarkable, and we appreciated the thoughtful touches like fresh breakfast items. The hosts, Carl and Rhonda, were incredibly accommodating, though a stronger Wi-Fi connection would have made planning excursions easier.

The Queen Cabin had a cozy layout that exceeded expectations with its comfortable beds. A helpful collection of instructions guided us through the cabin's amenities.
While the cabin experience was generally pleasant, the mattress posed a minor challenge for comfort. Be prepared for a bit of reading on their extensive guidelines, which, although useful, might feel overwhelming if you're eager to unwind right away. Also, the lack of WiFi and poor signal reception could be inconvenient if you're planning to work or stay connected.

absolutely beautiful surroundings, but i definitely expected an iron and ironing board in my cabin, not to mention the mattress was more challenging than i anticipated. also, given my high expectations, a complimentary welcome gift woudl ve been appropriate for this level of so-called luxury. i almost wrote a glowing review, but just couldn't.

We loved spending time feeding deer with the grandkids while enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The owners were fantastic, leaving us tasty biscuits and fresh eggs for breakfast!
My wife says that it would be great if there were a few more toys for the kids.

We had such a blast with our friends! The hot tub was perfect for relaxing, especially under the stars. We spent our days feeding corn to the deer and had fun with the outdoor swings. Everything we needed was right there. I recommend bringing some snacks to enjoy on the rooftop while watching the stars.
Our only hiccup was that the hot tub took a bit to warm up, so we had to wait longer than expected before using it.

We loved relaxing on the porch, watching deer come right up close while enjoying the beautiful views. The hot tub was a dream, especially after a long day, and the outdoor BBQ facilities made for some great evening cookouts. The only small downside was the lack of phone signal, but it gave us a good reason to disconnect and really enjoy our time together, so I’d suggest bringing some food to grill and just unwind! 🌟

Perfect spot for couples to unwind
This place nailed it with the rooftop deck, the view is just fine. We watched countless stars and it felt like the sky was ours alone. We enjoyed feeding the free-range chickens and just soaking in nature’s vibe.
It wasn't exactly inexpensive but honestly, worth every penny.
